'They're trying to distract': House Dem slams Fox News for snubbing him 'every week'

Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) said Wednesday that he reaches out to Fox News frequently, asking if they'd have him on to discuss many issues, including President Donald Trump's accidental deportation of a Maryland man to a prison in El Salvador.

Instead, they snub him.

MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace on "Deadline White House" asked Goldman what Democrats are doing to try and win the messaging game and ensure the facts are being told.

Goldman referred to Rep. Yassamin Ansari (D-AZ), who recently appeared on Fox News with host Laura Ingraham.

"I try to get on Fox News every week. I have difficulty," Goldman said.

Wallace asked who he calls and where he wants to appear.

"I'll go on any show," Goldman exclaimed. "I think it's really important for us to talk to other people from other viewpoints. And I don't like the fact that other networks are selective as to what party they will put on. And it's important for us to talk to Fox News and other people, and Joe Rogan and anyone, where people are interested and engaged and want to know the facts."

He said he's game to talk to Fox in large part because "this isn't about MS-13."

"It's not about terrorism. They're just wrong about that. This is political for them. They're trying to distract from the absolutely disastrous economic policies and tariffs that Donald Trump has implemented, that is increasing prices, increasing inflation, tanking the stock market and sending us directly into a recession..."

He added that Trump knows he "wins" when he talks about immigration over things like the economy.
