I built SpeedSketch, a free online tool to help artists practice gesture and figure drawing through timed sketch sessions.
It started as a weekend project when I couldn’t find a distraction-free, lightweight tool to simulate life drawing sessions. SpeedSketch shows a sequence of figure reference images for a set amount of time (30s, 1min, etc.) to encourage rapid sketching and improve visual memory – similar to how art classes run warm-up sessions.
There are no accounts, no ads, no tracking – just open and start drawing.
