'Found his spine': Internet freaks out over Elon Musk's new attack on Trump bill

The richest man in the world raised eyebrows again on Saturday after he once again launch a severe attack on Donald Trump's signature spending bill.

Raw Story reported over the weekend that Elon Musk, formerly a close ally to Trump, once again attacked Trump's big bill after weeks of silencing any criticisms.

"The latest Senate draft bill will destroy millions of jobs in America and cause immense strategic harm to our country!" Musk wrote. "Utterly insane and destructive."

The reaction from critical observers came quickly.

Democratic lawmaker Ruben Gallego said, "Sorry did the leopard eat your face?" in reference to the "Leopards Eating People's Faces Party" internet meme.

Former prosecutor Ron Filipkowski chimed in, "Orange Daddy gonna be big mad."

Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell said, "He’s right," about Musk's criticisms of the bill.

Columnist Molly Jong-Fast echoed Gallego's remark, saying, "Leopards face etc."

Republicans against Trump said, "Elon Musk is once again slamming Trump’s 'big beautiful bill.'"

Singer Bill Madden also added, "Regarding Trump's barbaric 'Big Beautiful Bill,' Elon Musk has found his spine asnd is speaking out against the abomination. Knowing how feckless Musk is, I don't expect his current sentiment to last long."

Conservative pollster Sarah Longwell said, "Truly will never understand a guy smart enough to start multiple generation-defining companies, but too dumb to know that Donald Trump uses people to get what he wants and never gives them what they want."
