Newsom accuses GOP of 'literally throwing seniors out on the street' with bill

Donald Trump and Republicans are "literally throwing seniors out on the street," according to California Governor Gavin Newsom.

Newsom, a Democratic governor with widely reported sights on the Oval Office, perhaps in 2028, recently sued Fox News for hundreds of millions of dollars.

On Saturday, the California politician lobbed the new allegation at GOP lawmakers.

"NEW: Donald Trump and the GOP are literally throwing seniors out on the street," Newsom claimed. He added that, "1 in 4 nursing homes say they’ll be forced to SHUT DOWN if Trump's Big Beautiful Betrayal becomes law."

Newsom included a citation for reference, which was provided by the American Health Care Association (AHCA), which found this month that, "an overwhelming majority of nursing home providers are deeply concerned about potential Medicaid reductions."

"More than one-quarter of respondents report that reductions would force them to close," the group reported in its recent survey.
