A Black Fox News contributor who turned that gig into a Donald Trump nomination to serve in the Department of Justice, is facing blowback after he lashed out in an ugly way at Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson on Friday.
Leo Terrrell, an attorney and radio host who Trump wants to serve as a senior counsel in the DOJ's Civil Rights Division, responded to a post on X that called attention to the jurist who has been writing scathing dissents and pushing back at the Supreme Court's conservatives.
On X, Terrell wrote, "Affirmative Action Selection! Total embarrassment. Unfortunately, she will serve for at LEAST 30 years! Shameful!"
That led Politico legal analyst Josh Gerstein to screenshot the post and dryly add, "Senior DOJ official shares thoughts on a #SCOTUS justice."
On X, former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann fired back, "Happily you'll be able to watch her rulings while you're in prison, Mr DEI."
"Nothing says 'I’m stupid, small, and insecure' more than this," wrote one critic.
"it would be more embarrassing if a senior official of THIS doj praised her. she’d have to do some hard self-reflection on how she could get there," joked Matilda Morgenschoen.
Wendy Lyon observed, "Funny how they never say the same about Clarence Thomas."
"If he's so sure she's an affirmative action hire, he should debate her in public. Let's go," Wink suggested.
Mark Dornfeld contributed, "Leo seems like a former civil rights attorney that decided the griftin' was too good to pass up. Seems like a perfect meat puppet for his master now."
Another commenter added, "Leo calls himself a civil rights attorney? What a f'ing joke he is."
"She also happens to be the smartest person in any room she enters. This is shameful," wrote paradigm317.
