'Hollywood idiot': MAGA melts down as comedian compares Trump fans to 'Nazis'

Fans of President Donald Trump took aim at a comedian who said the MAGA movement will someday be viewed as comparable to Nazis.

Actor Andy Richter, widely recognized for his comedic work and as the longtime partner of late-night comedian Conan O'Brien, took to his Bluesky account on Friday to post, "I would bet a zillion dollars that in the same way we use Nazi to describe a particular kind of person today, in 20 - 30 years people will use MAGA. So good job, america."

MAGA fans seized on the remark Monday, with right-wing outlet Breitbart covering Richter's comment. In its article, Breitbart wrote "Richter is a typical, far, far left member of the Hollywood elite, of course, and has made many hate-filled comments such as the one above."

"Richter’s left-wing opinions are so unoriginal and anodyne to Hollywood that he is also an anti-gun nut, and has mindlessly celebrated abortion," wrote author Warner Todd Huston.

Fellow MAGA fans joined in on blasting Richter on social media.

Facebook commenter Arthur Plesa DC wrote, "It’s 2025, any adult with a brain could not care less what Hollywood actors have to say about politics.

"Oh, hey, its that one guy from that one thing no one remembers," chided Facebook commenter Dallas Badgeley.

"I bet we’ll use 'Andy Richter' the same way we use 'Idiot' today," Richard HubleyI wrote on Facebook.

"His 15 minutes was up a long time ago," wrote commenter Bret Christo.

"Just another Hollywood idiot," ripped Arthur Cooper on X.
