'Immediate expulsion!' MAGA turns on Marjorie Taylor Greene over Trump 'smear'

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) faced significant pushback from her own party after appearing at an event some described as an "effort to smear Trump."

Greene spoke at a Wednesday news conference organized by Reps. Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Thomas Massie (R-KY) to discuss the Epstein Files Transparency Bill, legislation that seeks to force the White House to release all of the Jeffrey Epstein files in its possession. The Trump administration has thus far refused to release most of the information, as the president has attempted to distance himself from the Epstein saga.

Several survivors of the crimes committed by Epstein and his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, also spoke at the news conference.

The MAGA base expressed displeasure at Greene's appearance.

"Marjorie Traitor Greene and Thomas Massie teamed up with #MeToo attorney Gloria Allred today at the Epstein press conference, a calculated effort to smear President Trump and falsely suggest he’s protecting Jeffrey Epstein," MAGA influencer Laura Loomer posted on X.

"MTG is a FRAUD, and a phony, two-faced b---- who used Trump to advance her career," she continued. "Now that she can’t run for US Senate or Governor of Georgia with Trump’s endorsement, she’s lashing out, trying to pretend like Trump is a pedophile."

"For any Republican member of Congress to stand in front of signs calling President Donald Trump a pedophile, on the Epstein List, is not only reprehensible, but should be grounds for an IMMEDIATE expulsion vote by the GOP majority in the House!" Gays For Trump posted on X.

"F--- Bannon, F--- Benny, F--- Massie, F--- MTG! F--- every last one of you backstabbing c----," MAGA influencer Cynthia Holt wrote on X.
