Mayor Eric Adams said effort to end rodent problem would ‘continue at full steam’ despite Kathleen Corradi’s exit

After a years-long war over who is allowed to live in New York City, the rats have won – or at least dethroned the czar.

The city’s famed “rat czar”, Kathleen Corradi, who was appointed by the New York mayor, Eric Adams, in 2023, has resigned, effective 10 October.
