When launching my own niche social media platform, I realized that the hardest part was getting the first few legitimate users on the platform who could give real feedback. To make things worse, sites like ProductHunt and the many other SaaS directories don't really cater to social networks, nor do they facilitate people actually trying the products/platforms over a longer period of time. It's mostly just other founders.
That's why I created Soshials. We're a community of people passionate about niche social networks. We think they're vital to the health of the internet and important to preserve and build up in the age of a few large players.
The way it works is simple. If you've built a social media platform or simply know of an interesting one, submit it to Soshials. Interested people then sign up to join a "cohort" where they can try it with other people in the cohort for a month. At the end of the month, we collect and organize feedback from all users.
It's completely free and meant to be a fun and new way to help smaller social networks grow and get feedback from early users.
Hope people find it useful. If you know of any niche social networks, do let me know!
