The Bulwark's editor-in-chief continued to express his disgust Tuesday with Donald Trump's Cabinet appointees who have allegations revolving around sex scandals in their past.
Fox News weekend host Pete Hegseth reportedly reached a financial settlement with a woman accused him of sexual assault during a Republican women's conference in 2017. He has denied the allegations and maintained the encounter was consensual.
Former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) was under investigation over allegations including sexual misconduct with a 17-year-old. He, too, has denied any wrongdoing.
Whether it's too much for Republican Senators remains to be seen.

"We will find throughout in the next couple of months," Sykes said about the Republican lawmakers.
What he finds most interesting, he said, is "the degree to which Donald Trump is humiliating the Republican Senate."
The "grossly absurd appointments" are what he thinks are "humiliating" Republican lawmakers. Trump is telling them, "I am going to ram this down your throat, and you have to approve them."
Meanwhile, Sykes said that Trump is also threatening to strip the U.S. Senate of their constitutional "advise and consent" role by forcing them into a recess so he can pass through his Cabinet officials without consent.
"There is a huge amount of contempt here," continued Sykes.
"America elects an adjudicated rapist, what should we be surprised of?" he asked, referring to Trump's civil conviction where a jury found him culpable of sexual abuse and assigned damages as a result.
"There is a moral dimension; you are talking about horrific behavior. Behavior that many people who voted for Donald Trump would never tolerate in their community in their family, in any context whatsoever. And yet Donald Trump is, you know, one appointment after another, it's almost as if this is now a requirement on your resume you have to have a sexual abuse or allegation against you."
He closed by saying that Americans should expect Republican lawmakers to fight back for what's right.
"We shouldn't just throw up our hands and figure that they are going to do the same thing all over again, although they probably will," he said.
