Union organizer and Democratic political consultant Chuck Rocha is considering whether he should run for the top spot at the national party, CBS News reported Tuesday.
Thus far, two people have launched campaigns for the party chair: Former Gov. Martin O'Malley of Maryland who ran for president in 2016, and Ken Martin, the chair of Minnesota's Democratic Party.

"Whoever the party's over 440 members elect to lead the party's national committee will be in charge of the party's top-level infrastructure, organizing and fundraising," the report said. "And while DNC members tell CBS News that the eventual chair won't determine the widespread policy of the party, that person will serve as a notable mouthpiece to help craft the Democratic message."
Another person rumored to be considering a run is Wisconsin Democratic Party chair Ben Wikler, who has been successful in changing the face of the state's balance of power.
