Vice President-elect J.D. Vance lashed out at a staffer working for Steve Bannon's War Room podcast after she slammed him for skipping Senate votes on judge confirmations.
On Tuesday, War Room CFO Grace Chong slammed Vance and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), the nominee for secretary of state, after the Senate confirmed a judge picked by President Joe Biden for the first time since President-elect Donald Trump won the 2024 election.
"You guys better show up and do your one fricken job!!" Chong wrote on X. "@JDVance @marcorubio and the rest of you Senate Republicans that didn’t bother to show up yesterday."
Chong's demand appeared to hit a nerve with Vance, who blasted her in a follow-up post.

"Grace Chong is a mouth breathing imbecile who attacks those of us in the fight rather than make herself useful," Vance insisted on X. "If I had shown up to the vote in question, the nominee would have succeeded 49-46 rather than 49-45. If every Republican had showed up, Fetterman would have come in and the Democrats still would have gotten their nominee across."
Vance argued that his time was better spent "meeting with President Trump to interview multiple positions for our government, including for FBI Director."
"I tend to think it's more important to get an FBI director who will dismantle the deep state than it is for Republicans to lose a vote 49-46 rather than 49-45," he fumed. "But that's just me."
Vance was a regular guest on Bannon's War Room program during the 2024 campaign. Chong deleted her tweet on Tuesday.
